Gloucestershire dog owners can unleash their four-legged friends in a safe environment at Lechlade K9 Centre’s new secure exercise park for dogs – promising stress-free walkies in the Cotswold countryside from Monday 15 March 2021.

With people working from home more since the Coronavirus crisis, local people have been adding fur babies to their families. As the demand for dogs grew, it wasn’t long before the cost of puppies began to soar – and with it, the increase of dog theft.

Whether you’re new to paw-renthood or a seasoned dog owner, the Secure K9 Exercise Park has been designed to keep dogs and owners safe while enjoying the countryside – with two and a half acres of open space for excitable pups to play!

The park boasts two open lawns, an activity and enrichment area and a natural rough grass zone. There will also be benches for owners to relax while their four-legged friends run free.

The area is surrounded by seven-foot fencing to keep pooches super safe and there’s even a mesh base dug into the ground to deter the most mischievous mutts from digging.

Giving owners the confidence to walk their dogs without worrying about who they might encounter, the Secure K9 Exercise Park offers a safe space for nervous pooches – as well as a great resource for those training young pups.

Anthony Clarke, head trainer at Lechlade K9 Centre, said: ‘It’s exciting to be able to offer this to dog owners and I feel it’s something that every dog owner can benefit from.

‘Exercise is one of the most important components to a well-behaved dog and to be able to do this in a safe and enriching area is going to benefit so many dogs and owners.’

The Secure K9 Exercise Park is located about three and a half miles from Lechlade K9 Centre, with the details of its exact location shared upon booking. It costs £12 per hour for up to two dogs and is now taking bookings from Monday 15 March 2021.
