With loud bangs, smoke, strong language, hit men and corporate conspiracy, catch the blazing production, Dead Dog in a Suitcase when it returns to the Everyman Theatre, from Tuesday 25 to Saturday 29 June 2019.

First brought to the Cheltenham stage by Kneehigh in October 2015, this dynamic production is based on John Gay’s classic musical satire, The Beggar’s Opera, and is described as bursting with wit, wonder and weirdness – as the cast shimmy their way through a twisted morality tale.

‘Mayor Goodman has been assassinated. And so has his dog. Contract killer Macheath has just married Pretty Polly Peachum and Mr and Mrs Peachum aren’t happy. Not one bit.’

Praised as a gorgeous and powerful, Everyman Theatre audiences can expect an eclectic and live musical score, combining everything from Renaissance polyphony and psychedelia to ska, grime and dubstep.
