Hitchcock’s classic, The 39 Steps, has been given a comic-thriller parody adaptation as a cast of four take on a clever stage remake at The Barn Theatre in Cirencester this summer.

Taking place from Wednesday 10 July to Saturday 10 August 2019, the play is a wonderfully inventive take on John Buchan’s 1915 novel that was made into an iconic film in 1935.

The story follows the adventures of handsome hero, Richard Hannay, as he encounters double-crossing secret agents, murders and beautiful women.

The fast-paced show sees four actors take on 139 roles in 100 minutes of thrilling action, including an epic number of costume changes, that will have audiences gripped.

Expect frantic farce and slapstick humour aplenty, along with a plenty of chaos and calamity to offer madcap hilarity that all the family will enjoy.
