Cheltenham Christmas Market
Cheltenham Christmas Market is back, with the 2011 event on The Promenade promising festive shoppers a whole host of seasonal crafts and gifts.
Back for the ninth time running, the 2011 Cheltenham Christmas Market is set to once again play host to German-style wooden chalets offering a range of festive wares.
Open from Friday 18 November to Sunday 4 December 2011, shoppers heading for Cheltenham’s Promenade this year are likely to find silver jewellery, hand-painted Russian dolls, Vietnamese-style wooden art, musical instruments from around the world, and an array of festive cards, calendars and gift wraps, according to organisers.
Children should also be in their element too, with the Cheltenham Christmas Market 2011 also offering stalls with traditional wooden toys, a whole host of string and hand puppets, and children’s books.
While all shoppers are sure to enjoy the chance to stock up on treats, with traditional English confectionery, German beers and freshly-made French crepes expected to once again keep everyone going throughout the day – not to mention ostrich and kangaroo burgers.
Organisers say this is one of the best Christmas markets in the UK, and if previous years are anything to go by, we’re tempted to agree.
