Thomas the Tank Engine, the cheeky blue train who has delighted children for decades, will be returning to the Dean Forest Railway in the summer – with Sir Topham Hatt, the Fat Controller, in attendance to keep matters at hand.

Promising a wonderful fun-packed day out for the whole family, there will be three different train rides, face painting, Punch and Judy shows, a miniature railway, childrens’ roundabout and on-train entertainment.

The Imagination Station will host children’s colouring, toys, temporary Thomas tattoos, Thomas stories and DVDs.

There will be live re-enactments with the Troublesome Trucks and Devious Diesel causing all sorts of mischief – with photo opportunities galore for fans of the famous book and television series alike.

Plus, in addition to plenty of car parking, an award-winning museum and a plethora of things to do for the ticket price – organisers also say the Dean Forest Railway shop is home to one of the best Thomas collections around.
