Crowe has a new partner joining its social purpose and non-profit team this April 2024.

Having joined the firm as a Responsible Individual (RI) in 2023, Helen Blundell brings 20 years of experience in audits, independent examinations and advisory, as well as an ICAEW diploma in charity accounting, to her new role.

Based at Crowe's offices in Cheltenham and Oldbury, Helen has worked on everything from governance reviews and corporate structures to registration support for faith-based groups, heritage charities, educational establishments and arts organisations and brings a wealth of specialist knowledge to the partnership.

Her appointment to the social purpose and non-profit team is key to Crowe's growth strategy — with the firm having been named the top charity auditor for the 15th year in a row in the Civil Society’s Charity Finance Audit Survey in December 2023 —  and demonstrates its ongoing support for the sector.

Helen said: 'I am passionate about working with clients in the social purpose and non-profit sector and consider it a privilege to be part of a market-leading firm which is equally committed to serving the needs of this sector. I am looking forward to working with my colleagues to continue to deliver lasting value to our clients, providing assurance and allowing them to focus on delivering their objectives.'

Nigel Bostock, Crowe's chief executive, added: 'As the cost-of-living crisis continues to impact donations and government funding, and charities are expected to deliver more for less in an increasingly regulated sector, Helen’s expertise supporting these organisations has never been more valuable.

'Her extensive expertise and experience will ensure that our team is fully equipped to continue offering exceptional advice and service to our clients when they need us the most.'
