While the historic Gloucester Docks no longer resembles the hustle and bustle of trade and commerce that it did some 100 years ago, today it forms a popular tourist attraction with visitors from across Gloucestershire and beyond regularly dropping by for an afternoon stroll.

As well as being home to the National Waterways Museum, in 2007 the Docks played host to the inaugural Gloucester Tall Ships Festival with a number of majestic ships welcoming visitors on board by day, and creating an illuminated display by night. The year 2008 will also see a number of other exciting events taking to the Docks, including the annual Gloucester Docks Dragon Boat Regatta.

In this photo gallery SoGlos.com readers have captured some exciting shots of the Gloucester Docks, including a few spectacular pictures of the aforementioned Tall Ships Festival.
