Gloucester Showboat Nights to be held every Friday

News - Following the raging success of its monthly 2010 events, the Oliver Cromwell Paddle Wheeler will be holding Showboat Nights every Friday in 2011.

SoGlos.com is delighted to reveal that from Friday 1 April 2011 the Oliver Cromwell Paddle Wheeler moored at Gloucester Docks will be holding its popular Showboat Nights every week.

The floating restaurant and entertainment venue held monthly Showboat Nights in 2010, and due to their success organisers have decided to make them a more regular occasion every Friday night.

The new Showboat Nights will include a three-course set dinner and live music in what is described as a mature nightclub setting. Music will take in swing, blues, Ratpack, pop, jazz and cabaret – with a great line-up of well-known talent from the region including Cate Cody, Ain’t Misnehavin’, the Bob Reynolds Jazz Band and many more.

Commenting on the new weekly event owner Richard Clements said: ‘People are telling us that they want some good quality dining with entertainment in the centre of the city, aimed at adults. We refined these occasions last year as a shop window for our private hire offers and now we are ready to run them every week’.

The cost of the events will continue to be great value at around £17.50 per person, including dinner, entertainment and parking alongside the vessel at Gloucester Docks.
