Using locally-sourced ingredients, the tea room also offers heart-warming meals such as chilli con carne and jacket potatoes as well as an all-day breakfast on Sundays.


2. Well Walk Tea Room

Decorated with wonderful antiques, Well Walk Tea Room in Cheltenham is a quirky setting for tea and cake. It serves a range of traditional, homemade refreshments including sandwiches, quiche, paninis and ploughman’s as well as speciality afternoon teas. Treat yourself to a cake medley, which includes six slices of homemade cake!


3. Once Upon a Tea Room

With cakes galore, Once Upon a Tea Room in Cheltenham has all the delights of sugar heaven. From crepes and cakes to chocolate brownies and fruit scones, it has everything to satisfy a sweet craving. The tea room also has a great selection of teas and savoury dishes.


4. Aunt Martha's Victorian Tea Rooms

Aunt Martha’s Tea Room nestled away in Drybrook is Victorian themed, serving delicious cakes, afternoon teas, and a la carte dishes. With a menu changing seasonally, the tea room also serves savoury snacks and Sunday lunches.


5. Huffkins

The ever-popular Huffkins cafés around Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds, entice you in with a scrumptious display of pastries. The quaint cafés also serve a whole host of homemade cakes, coffees and teas, as well as savoury plates such as quiches, sandwiches and soup. Try its yummy millionnaire’s shortbread – there’s no scrimping on caramel.

7. Lily's Restaurant and Tea Room

Lily’s in Gloucester is a stone’s throw away from the cathedral, offering a pretty location for tea and cake. 9. Old Dairy Tea Room

Old Dairy Tea Room at Harts Barn Craft Centre is full of character and charm, with exposed beams and countryside views. Serving a range of lunches, light bites, sandwiches and breakfasts, the tea room certainly has a lot of choice. Its homemade cakes, desserts and ice cream all use fresh, local ingredients.
