If January is synonymous with fresh starts and improving lives, there’s no better time to look into fostering with Gloucestershire County Council – with one of its online information sessions taking place on Tuesday 18 January 2022.

The council is on a mission to find loving and nurturing foster homes in the area for local children of all ages, babies and toddlers included.

For anyone curious to find out what it takes to become a foster carer, its hour-long ‘introduction to fostering’ will be live streamed online on Tuesday 18 January 2022 from 6.30pm.

Comprised of a presentation and a Q&A session, the Zoom event will give Gloucestershire residents the chance to hear from an experienced foster carer, alongside members of the county council’s fostering team.

Find out about the different kinds of fostering, what you need to be able to foster, as well as the support and training on offer, if you decide to pursue it.

While participants are under no obligation to take the next steps until they are ready to, those with experience of looking after children could be eligible for fast-track assessments.

For more information, visit gloucestershire.gov.uk/fostering or email fostering@gloucestershire.gov.uk to request the Zoom link and joining information for the session on Tuesday 18 January 2022 directly.
