Who is on the lineup at Gloucester History Festival Winter Warmer?

Gloucester History Festival president, professor Janina Ramirez, has curated a selection of 50 online events spanning highlights from Gloucester History Festival 2025 and favourites from the archives – including three premieres from Frank Skinner, professor Alice Roberts and author Martin Sixsmith which have never been available online before. 

Celebrity Traitors fans won't want to miss seeing Celia Imrie chatting about her new book; and David Olusoga in conversation about historians' role in a turbulent world.

Lovers of Horrible Histories will love watching Greg Jenner take a deep dive into the Stone Age; while interiors enthusiasts can listen to Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen discuss his love of Rococo and Baroque style.

Politicians Michael Heseltine, Vince Cable and Jeremy Hunt are all on the lineup covering everything from Brexit to economics in India and China; journalist Lyse Doucet shares a people's history of Afghanistan; and author Hallie Rubenhold tells the true crime story of Dr Crippen.

Viewers can even relive the magic of Witch Night featuring spellbinding storytelling and music; and A Marvellous History of Magic with Gloucestershire's very own Steve Knibbs.
