Award-winning comedian and Cheltenham resident, Dom Joly, brings huge names from the world of comedy, music and showbiz to his hometown every month at his popular grassroots night, the SpeakeaZy. 

With a different mystery guest or guests each time, it's one of the town's most sought-after tickets, with nights often selling out months in advance.

When and where is Dom Joly's SpeakeaZy?

Dom Joly's SpeakeaZy takes place at The Steam & Whistle in Cheltenham, usually on the first Thursday of the month. 

What to expect from Dom Joly's SpeakeaZy?

Describing it as a 'cabaret of curiosities', the SpeakeaZy has a late-night chat show vibe with mystery guests from the worlds of comedy, music, literature, showbiz and more every month. 

While the line-up remains strictly under wraps until the audience has taken their seats, the calibre of guests is extremely high, with previous guests including Jenny Éclair, Seann Walsh, Babybird and former Cheltenham MP Alex Chalk, alongside up-and-coming acts who Dom is keen to champion, like award-winning Cheltenham duo Saint Senara, Gloucestershire goth legends Inkubus Sukkubus and one of Elton John's favourite rising stars, Tom A Smith.
