Mr Wickham is ready to finally set the record straight when he appears on Cheltenham's Everyman Stage this September 2025.

Direct from a hit run in New York, theatregoers can expect a compelling performance at the Everyman Theatre this summer when Being Mr Wickham appears on stage in Cheltenham, unveiling some of the roguish gentleman's best-kept secrets.

Presented by the award-winning Original Theatre group and marking the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen's birth, the one-man show runs from Monday 15 to Wednesday 17 September 2025, featuring Adrian Lukis, who starred in the renowned BBC TV adaptation of Pride and Prejudice.

Taking place on the eve of George Wickham's sixtieth birthday, audiences will see the sheets lifted on what exactly happened thirty years on from where we left him — discovering his own version of some very famous literary events.

Asking the questions: what really happened with Darcy?; what did he feel about Lizzie?; and what happened at Waterloo?; not to mention Byron… Mr Wickham is ready to finally set the record straight.
