What's on at Slimbridge Wetland Centre this Easter 2026?

Gozzle the gosling, from Julia Donaldson and Sara Ogilvie's freshly hatched picture book, is heading to Slimbridge Wetland Centre this Easter – with the new Gozzle trail running from Friday 20 March through until Sunday 31 May 2026.

Visitors are invited to follow Gozzle as she goes on a wild wetland adventure from fuzzy fledgling to grown-up goose.

What to expect from Gozzle at Slimbridge Wetland Centre?

Bringing storytelling off the page and into the wetlands, the Gozzle trail features a variety of interactive opportunities for families – strike a pose and pretend to be your favourite wetland animal; sniff out food in the reeds; practice your balance hopping along the stepping stones; and see if you can spot all 15 of the mini Gozzles hiding along the trail.

There's a guided Vet Check station activity during weekends and the school holidays, where little ones can nurse a toy goose back to full health, learning how to handle, weigh, measure and even X-ray birds, just like a real WWT vet.

And pick up a Gozzle activity pack for even more fun, with stickers, puzzles, games and even a bear headband so you can play along as Gozzle's faithful friend as you follow the route around the wetlands as they burst into life with spring flowers.

You can also get a copy of Gozzle from the gift shop to take home and read – perfect for a bedtime story after a busy day out!
