Year 10 and 11 students considering Sixth Form are invited to the Sixth Form Open Evening at The King’s School Gloucester on Wednesday 24 November 2021.
With a guided tour of its stunning Sixth Form Centre, presentations from the Headmaster, Head of Sixth Form and a chance for pupils and their families to learn all about the school, it’s an ideal opportunity to see what life is like at King’s.
As the SGGLA Independent School of the Year 2020 and 2021, King’s is known for its academic excellence and outstanding pastoral care, as well as its rich programme of co-curricular activities from meditation to Mandarin.
The King’s School Gloucester also benefits from its inspiring location next to Gloucester Cathedral, giving the school a unique sense of identity, as well as a new £2.5 million Sixth Form Centre with modern new learning facilities and social spaces designed to help students think differently about the world around them, housed within a characterful 13th century building.
King’s offers unrivalled opportunities to its community of 110 Sixth Form students, with a choice of over 24 A Level subjects and BTEC Sport; a wide variety of co-curricular and enrichment activities; the King’s School Future Skills programme which teaches valuable life skills from cooking to vehicle maintenance; and one-to-one support with UCAS applications when its time to apply to university.
The school also has a strong history of academic achievement, with 59 per cent of King’s School students achieving A* to A grades at A Level and 100 per cent going to the university of their choice in 2021.
The admissions and bursaries teams will be on hand at the open evening with details about the Sixth Form entrance process, as well as scholarships and bursaries available at King’s too.
