Escape the hustle and bustle of the summer holidays with a range of mindful activities for all ages to enjoy at Gloucester Docks.
National Waterways Museum Gloucester is opening its doors for taster sessions of everything from drop-in yoga to paddling and creative crafts days. There are even chillout zones for parents who want somewhere to relax too.
If families fancy going with the flow, there are yoga trails to follow and drop-in sessions for everyone to stretch into, with the museum's activity space hosting hourly drop-in family yoga classes, as long as children are accompanied by an adult.
Sessions run in the middle of the day on Friday 1, 15 and 22 August 2025 and there's no need to book, families can just pop-in to join.
There's no extra cost either, with sessions included in the price of a museum day ticket or annual pass.
Bridge building and mindful craft drop-in sessions are also available for youngsters to try on Thursday afternoons.
Volunteers running the creative workshops will be outside the front of the museum if it’s sunny, or tucked up in the cafe if it’s raining, from 1pm to 4pm on Thursday 7, 14 and 28 August 2025.
And for parents needing a break from it all, there are chillout spaces to savour some quiet moments.
Visitors looking to save some summer holiday money can bring a packed lunch to enjoy in the museum cafe along with a purchase of a drink or a cake.
While those interested in the range of paddling taster sessions can make a beeline for Gloucester Docks Activity hub to find out more.
