Prepare to step back in time and prepare for battle this summer at Berkeley Castle as the Knights of Nottingham return for The Joust 2025.
Taking place on Sunday 24 and Monday 25 August, families are invited to the 11th-century castle grounds to cheer on their champions in a captivating jousting spectacular!
Whether you choose to support the valiant White Knight or root for the notorious Black Knight, excitement will fill the air as the mighty warriors clash in an epic display of bravery, horsemanship and combat — all set against the breathtaking backdrop of Berkeley Castle.
The entertainment doesn't stop at the arena either, as the ever-hilarious Sir Frederick will be on hand with his jolly antics and sharp wit, ensuring non-stop laughter for audiences young and old.
Visitors can also test their aim with the have-a-go archery sessions, hosted by the Tyndale Archery Club.
For just £3 per person, families can channel their inner archer and experience a hands-on piece of medieval life.
Joust tickets cost £18 for adults, £10 for children aged three to 16-years-old, with family tickets costing £52 for two adults and two children, they also allow full access to the historic castle and its gardens, too, so there's even more to explore and make a day of it.
Completed in the late 12th century, Berkeley Castle has played host to a variety of events over the years and plenty of battles over the centuries, making it one of the most fascinating buildings in the UK — with Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn and Elizabeth I all past visitors.
