Gloucester Food Dock is at the heart of this year's dazzling Gloucester Docks Christmas lights switch on.

What's on for Christmas at Gloucester Food Dock?

At the Christmas lights switch on the quayside will twinkle with tree lights, snowflake projections and there'll be a good sprinkling of festive cheer, too. 

There's merry music from the Saint Cecilia Singers, mulled wine and hot chocolate at Gloucester Food Dock along with a very special visit and switch on countdown from Santa Claus himself!

When is the Christmas lights switch on at Gloucester Food Dock?

The switch on event runs from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday 13 November 2025. 

There will be an official countdown in front of Gloucester Food Dock as the team lights up the Christmas tree at Gloucester Docks and Gloucester Food Dock's Christmas light installations fire up, ready for a sparkling festive season to unfold.

Who is organising the Gloucester Docks Christmas lights switch on? 

This event is created by Gloucester Food Dock, in partnership with Gloucester Rotary Club and Gloucester Docks, whose support has made the celebration possible for the whole community.
