Café Rene in Gloucester is a vibrant pub, restaurant and live music venue, tucked away in the city centre, off Gloucester’s Southgate Street.

A hub of Gloucestershire’s live music scene for years, Café Rene offers a varied line-up of acts every week, an intimate atmosphere, and free entry on Wednesdays and before 11pm on Fridays, with the underground cellar bar showcasing the best local DJs on Friday and Saturday nights. With local, national and international rugby games also shown on the big screen.

In addition to its excellent musical offering, the iconic pub is steeped in history, and offers an extensive wine list as well as up to six local and national guest ales from breweries in Stroud, Gloucester, Wickwar and Wychwood.

A lunch menu is available seven days a week featuring sandwiches, wraps, jacket potatoes and house specials, with an evening menu spanning the culinary spectrum from fresh fish and chargrilled meats to the incredible homemade ‘Desperate Dan’ burgers.
