Otis & Belle in Cheltenham

Promising coffee, croissants and its signature sourdough bread, artisan bakery Otis & Belle — which has three shops in the Cotswolds — has branched out, with its fourth outlet launching in Cheltenham's buzzing Montpellier area.

Now open, sweet-toothed customers can expect a counter brimming with flaky croissants, handmade pastries and slow-fermented bread, as well as freshly made coffee, with a commitment to 'quality, seasonality and traditional techniques'.

P.I.LATES in Cirencester

Following two successful years at its Cheltenham hub, P.I.LATES has expanded to the Cotswolds, with a brand-new studio in Cirencester.

Based at The Old Kennels, near Cirencester Park, the businesses' reformer pilates classes offer a complete full-body workout, with the specialist reformer apparatus designed to support and intensify muscle work. Reformer, mat and barre classes at the Cheltenham studio can be booked online from £12 per class.

DOG in Bourton-on-the-Water

Hot on the heels of its Cirencester and Stow-on-the-Wold locations, the award-winning brand Just For Pets has opened its third dog-focused store this summer, with DOG launching in Bourton-on-the-Water.

The dog-focused store is conveniently situated on the village's main high street, offering plenty to explore — from locally made products such as Doodle’s Deli Ice Cream made in Cirencester to DOG luxury leather collars and leads that are carefully crafted in the Cotswolds.

Naughty Gelato in Cirencester

New to the Roots + Seeds/CATTIVO family, Naughty Gelato has launched in Cirencester — just in time for the summer sun.

With the ice cream parlour located at The Old Kennels, expect homemade gelato and sorbets crafted by Dolcetti Ice Cream Co. Think indulgent flavours like 99.7 per cent chocolate; strawberry cream, with Hereford strawberries; honeycomb; alphonso mango sorbet; salted caramel; Cotswolds cream, made with local milk and double cream; and raspberry sorbet, too. All are served in crispy waffle cones or eco-friendly tubs, topped with ‘Love at First Lick’ wafers.

Pickles in Cheltenham

Built on 'fun, flavour and a love of bringing people together', brand-new gluten free cafe, Pickles, opened on Cheltenham's Regent Street this June 2025.

The new venture invites diners to build their own acai bowl, with options spanning banana, granola, strawberries, blueberries, mango, cacao nibs, hemp seeds, goji berries and more; load up your toast with toppings such as hot avocado smash, zesty tuna crunch and peanut butter, jam and banana; sip on matcha; grab a smoothie; or opt for cakes and pastries.

Gloucester Cathedral tower

See spectacular views of the city, with access to one of Gloucester’s most breathtaking viewpoints reopening this June 2025 – with 269 steps to reach to the top.

Thanks to the installation of Gloucester Cathedral's brand-new roof deck, take in panoramic views of Gloucester, the Severn Valley and even the Malvern Hills. And on the way up, visitors can peek inside behind-the-scenes spaces of the cathedral, including the ringing chamber and the bell chamber to see ‘Great Peter’ – the only medieval bell of its size still in use in England.
