Gloucester Quays Christmas markets are also taking place every weekend from Saturday 8 November until Sunday 21 December 2025, bringing 120 of the south west's best traders to town, selling everything from handmade Christmas gifts to festive artisan food which make for unique gifts and stocking fillers.

John Lewis in Cheltenham


Cheltenham's high-end department store John Lewis is a fantastic choice for Christmas shopping – it even has its very own Christmas department on the first floor!

With fabulous foodie gifts and a cookshop; the latest fashion collections and trending beauty and fragrance brands; top-notch audio visual gear; toys and a huge nursery department, shoppers are spoiled for choice. John Lewis Cheltenham is open from 9am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and 10.30am to 4.30pm on Sunday.

Made in Stroud

Jam-packed with locally made and sourced products from seasonal Stroud Brewery beer, traditional Italian biscotti from The Cotswold Cardillo and Tubby Tom's iconic rubs and hot sauces, to handmade stained glass tree decorations and scented soaps, Made in Stroud is a treasure trove of independent gift ideas.

Pop into the shop on Kendrick Street in Stroud from 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday to browse the Christmas collection.

Woodchester Valley Vineyard

From beautifully boxed bottles to gift vouchers for tastings and tours, wine lovers will be thrilled to find a gift from Woodchester Valley Vineyard under their tree this year.

Its Cellar Door Shop on Bath Road in Woodchester is open from 10am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 5pm Sunday, with a selection of Christmas gifts available.

Taurus Crafts in Lydney

For truly special gifts that you won't find anywhere else, Taurus Crafts in Lydney offers everything from handmade jewellery, pottery, fine art, candles, cards and toys to award-winning cheese hampers and artisan chocolate, direct from the makers. 

Taurus Crafts is open from 10am to 4pm Monday to Sunday – and is hosting its own Christmas market on Saturday 6, Sunday 7, Saturday 13, Sunday 14, Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 December 2025.

Regent Arcade in Cheltenham

Cheltenham's Regent Arcade is full of high street staples, including H&M, HMV, JD Sports, Pandora, River Island, The Body Shop, The Perfume Shop and TK Maxx – with Claire's and Flying Tiger providing great stocking fillers, too. 

Regent Arcade is open from 9am to 6pm Monday to Wednesday, Friday and Saturday; 9am to 8pm Thursday; and 10am to 5pm Sunday – and it's open from 9am to 5pm on Christmas Eve for those last-minute gifts.

New Brewery Arts in Cirencester

New Brewery Arts in Cirencester is home to a craft shop which is full of beautiful, handmade items from British artists and creatives. Ideal for the art lovers in your life, its collection spans ceramics, metalwork and jewellery, textiles, glass and woodwork, plus books, cards and homeware.

Pay a visit to the gorgeous gallery while you're out shopping (it's free to enter), with the craft shop open from 9am to 5pm on Monday and Wednesday to Saturday; and 10am to 5pm on Tuesday.

Daylesford Organic in Kingham

Encouraging customers to 'shop consciously' this Christmas, Daylesford organic farm shop offers a sophisticated selection of gifts, including advent calendars and hampers – plus with puddings, pannetone, mince pies, mulled wine and more, there's festive food galore for your Christmas table, too.

Well worth a visit with restaurants, bars and even a spa on-site, Daylesford Farmshop is open from 8am to 8pm Monday to Saturday and 9am to 5pm on Sunday.

Sandersons Boutique in Stroud

Offering luxury shopping in the centre of Stroud, Sandersons Boutique at Five Valleys Shopping Centre boasts a selection of fashion, homeware, gifts, cosmetics and fragrances from brands including Chanel, L'Occitane, Valentino, Parfums de Marley, Elizabeth Scarlett, Penhaligons, Dents knitwear, Pandora, House of Oud and Le Creuset.

Dunkertons Park in Charlton Kings


Home to Holland Cooper's flagship boutique, a farmshop, a bar and a selection of street food traders, Dunkertons Park in Charlton Kings, just outside Cheltenham, is a stylish spot for some leisurely Christmas shopping. Pick up indulgent Christmas food hampers from the farmshop and high fashion from Gloucestershire's own top designer, before enjoying a drink and a bite to eat in spectacular surroundings.

Holland Cooper boutique is open 10am to 6pm Tuesday to Saturday and 11am to 5pm Sunday; and Dunkertons Farm Shop is open from 8am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and 8am to 5pm Sunday.

Severn & Wye Smokery in Chaxhill

With its food hall, fish market and gift shop, Severn & Wye Smokery is ideal for foodie gifts, from its award-winning, responsibly made smoked salmon, perfect for an indulgent Christmas Day breakfast; stylish cookware for ambitious home cooks; to gift cards for even the pickiest recipients.

Severn & Wye Smokery is open from 9am to 4pm Tuesday to Saturday. 

The Highgrove Shop in Tetbury

Located at the Cotswolds residence of King Charles and Queen Camilla, The Highgrove Shop offers luxury gifts from cashmere scarves, Tweed hats, fine art prints, fragrances, books, games and homeware, to festive food, cards, tree decorations and Christmas hampers.

Leaf Creative in Huntley

From botanical-inspired cosmetics, tasty treats, cute craft projects and cookbooks, to build-your-own terrarium kits and gardening gift vouchers, Leaf Creative is blossoming with gifts for the green-fingered.

It's also hosting Christmas markets on weekends in the run-up to Christmas, where visitors can pick up gorgeous handmade gifts from local crafters. It's open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm Sunday.

Corn Hall in Cirencester

Hosting indoor markets every week with an eclectic selection of traders, Corn Hall in Cirencester is a fabulous spot for quirky Christmas shopping. Visitors can enjoy browsing for everything from vintage clothing to unique handicrafts, without worrying about the weather. 

And located within the arcade, Corn Hall Deli is filled to the brim with delicious local goods, from Godminster cheese and Hawkstone beer to traditional Christmas puddings and hampers. Sometimes it even serves warm mulled wine to take away, too!

Elkstone Studios

Elkstone Studios, just outside Cheltenham, is home to a small selection of luxury retailers, including one of the Princess of Wales' favourite jewellery designers and lifestyle boutiques – plus a food hall, childrens' playground and padel courts.

It's also hosting its Elkstone Studios x Sainte Market Festive Edition on Sunday 14 December 2025, with local food, seasonal produce and handmade gifts on offer. 

Cotswolds Distillery in Bourton-on-the-Water


Cotswolds Distillery's shop in Bourton-on-the-Water is well worth a visit at Christmas time, stocked with signature single malts, award-winning gins, liqueurs and lots of gift options, from tasting trios to branded glassware – open 10am to 5pm Monday and Wednesday to Sunday; and 11am to 5pm Tuesday. 

Or if you fancy a trip a little further afield, the distillery in Shipston-on-Stour is hosting a Christmas shopping experience on Sunday 30 November 2025 with local makers, cocktail masterclasses, live music and distillery tours throughout the day.
