One of Gloucestershire's biggest hidden gems, ​Burleigh Court Hotel is not only a historic gentleman's manor house and boutique hotel — it also plays host to all kinds of themed evenings, dining experiences and even live music nights, with a sprawling programme of seasonal events to try this autumn and winter 2022.

With events to suit every taste, from wine tasting to Christmas performances, SoGlos shares 10 events and activities you can get involved with this season.

Supper Club at Burleigh Court

Firm foodies won't want to miss Burleigh Court's Supper Club, led by head chef Shaun Jones and featuring a sumptuous seven-course tasting menu — with sittings on Thursday 27 October and Thursday 24 November 2022.

Bond with other like-minded food lovers around one big table as you feast on autumn-inspired dishes, immersing yourself in each plate and getting to know the seasonal ingredients used to create it. This unique dining experience costs £75 per person, with the option to add a wine flight, too. 

A Christmas Carol Performance with music and dinner at Burleigh Court

Round off your year by heading to Burleigh Court for an evening of festive fun, starting with a wonderfully staged re-imagining of of Charles Dickens's classic story, ​A Christmas Carol , with live music performed by Stroud Theatre Company.

Following the show, guests will enjoy a three-course festive dinner in Burleigh's atmospheric, oak-panelled restaurant. Tickets are priced at £55.90 per head. 

A night of wild game and wine at Burleigh Court

Local wine merchant Vinotopia is heading to Burleigh Court on Thursday 10 November 2022, tantalising the senses with its expertly-curated tasting menu of wines, paired with wild game. 

Locally-sourced and forage fed, wild game is a sustainable choice of meat full of nutrients and flavour and is a recent addition to Burleigh's regular menu. Tickets are priced at £79 per head and include a six-course tasting menu with a wine flight.

Seasonal dining at Burleigh Court

Diners will be spoilt for choice at Burleigh Court, promising heavenly flavours, locally-sourced ingredients and exceptional service at its two-rosette dining hotspot.

With two-courses costing £33 and three-courses £46, hungry guests can feast on carefully curated dishes such as sous vide stonebass fillet with red pepper pesto, preserved lemon, seasonal greens and Burleigh Garden turnips; blackcurrant tea rolled pork tenderloin with Huntsham farm pork belly, apple and gooseberry ketchup and spinach and mash potato; along with iced peanut butter parfait and other sweets.

Afternoon tea at Burleigh Court

It's the time of year to treat yourself and guests can indulge in a real luxury at Burleigh Court, enjoying a homemade afternoon tea in a peaceful setting with stunning views over the Golden Valley.

Available each week from Wednesday to Saturday, tuck in to a selection of scones and cakes prepared by the hotel's pastry chef, alongside savoury deli treats such as sausage rolls, scotch eggs and charcuterie - with gluten free and vegan options available, too.

Sunday roasts at Burleigh Court

Look forward to a traditional roast dinner full of flavours from across the county, with Burleigh Court's kitchen making use of the very best local, seasonal produce for its Sunday lunch offering.

Using ingredients from the kitchen garden, local farms and producers, guests can feast upon a wholesome menu featuring starters such as pressed ham hock terrine and heritage tomato tarte fine; mains including 28 day dry aged sirloin of beef and slow cooked pork belly; and sweet desserts or savoury cheese boards.

Wreath-making workshops at Burleigh Court

Bring out your creative side and enter a winter wonderland with a wreath-making session at Burleigh Court on Saturday 19 and Saturday 26 November 2022.

With the scent of seasonal foliage and eucalyptus oil wafting through the air, crafters will get to create their own beautiful wreath from winter greenery, seasonal berries, pods and seed heads. All materials and a champagne afternoon tea are included in the ticket price.

Friday music nights at Burleigh Court

Giving local talent a platform to perform this autumn and winter, Burleigh Court is buzzing with live music on Friday nights, giving guests the chance to wine and dine on dishes from its a la carte menu, accompanied by smooth tunes, until Friday 16 December 2022. 

Murder mystery nights at Burleigh Court

Trust no one and watch everyone... Agatha Christie fans can get their fix and try to work out ‘whodunit’ at the next Burleigh Court Murder Mystery night on Saturday 12 November 2022.

As unmasking criminals is hungry work, budding detectives will be treated to a three-course meal during the event from the hotel's award-winning kitchen. Plus, the person who solves the murder mystery will win a prize trophy and certificate!

The team tailors each event to its guests' preferred tastes, offering a locally-sourced a la carte menu suited to lunch, afternoon tea and dinner - plus, vegetarian and vegan options.
