ITV's Love Island returns to screens on Monday 9 June 2025, with the lineup being revealed in anticipation of the 12th series of the hit reality show — and it features a contestant from Gloucestershire.
Back for a summer of love, drama and more twists than ever, Love Island season 12 comes with plenty of changes, including footage giving audiences even more access to the Islanders, with lunch and dinner conversations being aired for the first time in the show's history.
Plus, the steamy happenings of the Hideaway are set to make a return to screens, with the show's saucy suite getting a full revamp and opening times being extended to a full 24 hours — no text invite needed, meaning Islanders can go in whenever they want, with whoever they want...
So, who's going in to experience the fresh production changes?
The cast of this year's summer series was revealed in June 2025, with contestants hailing from all across the UK and Ireland, from London and Southampton to Manchester and Dublin.
But flying the Love Island flag for Gloucestershire will be Ben Holbrough, a private hire taxi driver and model from Gloucester.
Probably hoping to follow in the success of past contestant turned TV host, Chris Hughes — who also recently took part in the new series of Channel 4's Celebrity Big Brother — Ben is going in hoping for a better shot at love.
When asked by producers 'if [his] love life was a business, would it be booming or would [it] be bankrupt', he answered: 'Bankrupt. I'd have been out of business a long time ago. That's exactly why I'm here.'
He was also asked about what type of Islander he's looking to couple up with, answering: 'Someone sexy, good looking, good chat, good vibes, nice teeth and good eye contact.'
See how Ben fares in the new series of Love Island, premiering on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm on Monday 9 June 2025.
