The Barn Theatre in Cirencester has a packed programme of original, Built By Barn productions coming up in its 2026 season.

Starting the year strong with the world premiere of Men Behaving Badly: The Play, Cirencester's Barn Theatre has now revealed its full programme for 2026 – and it's packed with unmissable shows, including a 10-week summer musical back by popular demand!

This spring, Ottilie takes to the Barn Stage, telling the forgotten story of the greatest Irish blues singer of all time – starring Jolene O'Hara, who regularly sings in Van Morrison's band.

Being revived for a new generation, Double Double is up next, hitting the Barn stage in April. Written by Olivier and Tony award-winner Roger Rees and hit musical Jersey Boys co-writer Rick Elice, the play – which hasn't been performed since the 1980s – follows Philippa as she tries to pass off a homeless man as her recently deceased husband, in the hopes of securing his £2 million inheritance in a show that's been described as 'Pygmalion meets Dial M for Murder'.

Back by huge popular demand, the Barn's most-talked-about-show of all time, Million Dollar Quartet returns for an epic 10-week summer residency this June. Transporting audiences to a recording studio in Memphis on a fateful night in December 1956, where Carl Perkins, Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash changed the trajectory of modern music forever, this production promises to be bigger, better and more rock 'n' roll than ever!

Yes, Prime Minister follows in August. A faithful prequel to the Barn's best-selling I'm Sorry, Prime Minister, which went to the West End in January 2026 and is currently playing at the Apollo Theatre, this razor-sharp political comedy tackles everything from financial crises to corruption through beloved characters, Jim Hacker and Sir Humphrey Appleby.

In October, audiences can see the stage adaptation of Oscar-winning film The King's Speech at Barn. With the monarchy in the hands of Bertie, the shy future king with a debilitating speech impediment, this moving show charts his journey through unconventional speech therapy to his historic radio address.

And to close out the 2026 season, Barn's festive show is the multi-award-winning musical Honk! On stage from November, this tale of a plucky duckling trying to discover who he really is has been likened to The Lion King – and even beat it to the 2000 Olivier Award! – promising a magical and heartwarming experience for children and adults alike.
