Comedian, Trigger Happy TV creator and proud Cheltonian, Dom Joly, has announced the last three 2025 dates for his exclusive SpeakeaZy nights – and they're expected to sell out fast.
Dubbing the SpeakeaZy a 'hometown hit', Dom's 'cabaret of curiosities' has sold out five times since the first show back in April 2025, with August and September shows selling out almost immediately after going on sale.
While special guests are shrouded in mystery until they step out on stage, audiences so far have seen exclusive appearances from Seann Walsh, Jenny Éclair, Tom A Smith, Babybird and Maurice Gran, alongside handpicked emerging artists who have caught Dom's eye.
With shows being 'driven by Dom's legendary sense of fun and impeccable music taste', the SpeakeaZy has quickly become one of Cheltenham's most unmissable nights out.
Dom said: 'Curating a show in my hometown has been an absolute joy. After so many years in the industry, it’s such fun inviting friends and colleagues to Cheltenham, giving us a chance to catch up and reminisce. It's especially fun chatting with younger artists about the wild journey they're just starting.
'We bring that behind-the-scenes banter right to the stage in the interview section of the show – sharing maybe too much sometimes! Every SpeakeaZy night is different but always features a performance or two, me doing strange things and chatting to interesting people.
'Last month, we had the hilarious Seann Walsh and before that, the brilliant Jenny Éclair. We've also had incredible new talent like Tom A Smith, who Elton John called 'a massive star for the future.'
'As always, the rest of my guests will remain a mystery! People always try to trick me into giving clues, but you will never break me. The whole night is built around a fun, relaxed, SpeakeaZy feel, with laughter at the heart of everything we do.'
The new shows come hot on the heels of the Trigger Happy TV 25th anniversary tour, which sees Dom say 'HELLO!' to audiences in Birmingham, London, Manchester and Glasgow to celebrate the milestone anniversary of the award-winning cult TV show – with a handful of 'work in progress dates' at smaller venues around the country, too.
Dom continued: 'It's great to be able to invite Trigger Happy fans to my shows across the UK, as well as right here in Cheltenham. There's something for everyone this season!'
Dom Joly's SpeakeaZy is back at The Steam & Whistle on Thursday 2 October, Thursday 6 November and Thursday 4 December 2025.
