Home entertainment specialist Smart Home Sounds is bringing a brand new shopping experience to Cheltenham that's 'part showroom, part playground for anyone who loves technology and entertainment'.
Opening Saturday 8 November 2025, the new store at Staverton Technology Park is a 'destination for great entertainment designed to be explored, not just shopped', with visitors invited to step into 'beautifully styled' living spaces, test the latest TVs and audio products, or enjoy 'something extra special' in its exclusive Luxury Listening room.
'Not your average tech store', the showroom also has a vinyl concession stacked with favourites, a coffee bar and even a racing simulator for customers to try out.
Having grown from an online start-up into one of the leading names in UK home audio and entertainment, Smart Home Sounds offers expert advice to help customers find the right entertainment tech for their homes, with products and systems from leading brands including Sonos, Marshall, Sennheiser, Sony, LG, Samsung and Devialet.
In a space that's designed to feel 'as inspiring as it is welcoming', the new store aims to do away with 'cold shop floors and pushy sales', instead offering insight from friendly tech guides, immersive demo zones and real rooms that show what’s possible in your home.
Founded in 2010 by former England and Gloucester Rugby player Andy Hazell, the company has built a strong online community through its website and social channels, garnering millions of views on its product reviews and advice videos on YouTube.
Its flagship experience store in Cheltenham becomes its second showroom, following the opening of its first on Metz Way in Gloucester in 2023.
Founder and managing director Andy said of the new opening: 'We’ve built an incredible online community through our content and online store.

The company is celebrating the launch with a special grand opening event on Saturday 8 November 2025, featuring live demos of the latest tech, exclusive instore offers, giveaways, free coffee and refreshments, a racing simulator competition and live DJ sets.
