One of Cheltenham's most unmissable music events, Wychwood Festival, is back this May 2026 – and it's an extra special edition as the festival turns 20.

It's starting the party a whole day earlier than usual by opening the gates on Thursday this year, with Dutty Moonshine Big Band headlining, plus support from Tankus.

Indie rockers the Kaiser Chiefs are headlining the main stage on Saturday and folk rockers Levellers are headlining on Sunday, though the Friday headliner is still under wraps.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Feeder, Pigeon Detectives, Boney M, The Twang, Newton Faulkner, Chesney Hawkes, Elles Bailey and Dub Pistols, plus local bands including Nuns of the Tundra, Thrill Collins and The X & Y, are all on the music lineup.

While German stand-up comedy icon, Henning Wehn, is headlining the comedy lineup, along with the likes of Johnny Awsum, Bella Humphries, Andrew White and hula hooper extraordinare, Angie Mack – there's also Barrioke with Barry from Eastenders; Hip Hop Karaoke; and Primary School Bangers, too.

As Winner of Best Family Festival at the UK Festival Awards in 2025, little ones are well catered for as well, with over 100 workshops and activities on the Village Green.

Wychwood Festival returns to Cheltenham Racecourse from Thursday 28 to Sunday 31 May 2026.

Thursday tickets are being sold separately for £30 each – tickets go on general sale from 10am on Tuesday 10 February 2026.
