A true stalwart on Cheltenham's high street, Regent Arcade celebrates its 40th birthday this summer.
Recognised as the town's premium retail and leisure destination, the shopping centre boasts an impressive lineup of over 50 retail stores – as well as dining options – and has housed a plethora of high street brands and independent traders over the last 40 years.
And now, the venue is inviting guests from across the county to enjoy birthday celebrations filled with nostalgia, live entertainment, retro games, exclusive giveaways and more – all for free!
Kicking off on Saturday 26 July 2025, visitors can take part in a birthday event celebrating four decades at the heart of the community.
Expect a variety of interactive and nostalgic experiences on the day, such as live music from the B-Boys, complimentary cupcakes and limited-edition goody bags filled with treats from Regent Arcade retailers.
Plus, one lucky bag will contain a golden VHS tape, with the recipient winning a ‘Day Out at Regent Arcade’.
From Saturday 26 July until Saturday 2 August 2025, gamers can take advantage of a dedicated Nintendo Super Mario gaming station offering the chance to play, compete and even enter a prize draw to win a brand-new Nintendo Switch 2.
Across the summer, starting on Saturday 26 July 2025, see a pop-up display featuring iconic items from the 1980s to today — and for the chance to win a £40 shopping voucher, shoppers can test their knowledge by guessing the original prices.
And showcasing key moments from the past 40 years of Cheltenham life, the shopping centre is creating a special Timeline Wall — so if you've got a great photo from the past, submit your photos by Monday 30 June 2025, for the chance to be featured.
