Applications for Dean Close School's highly popular Easter revision courses are now open, with early booking recommended.

Dean Close School in Cheltenham has released new dates for its popular Easter revision courses, ready for the next cohort of Year 11 and Year 13 students sitting GCSEs and A-levels in the summer of 2026.

The independent school has hosted Easter revision courses for the past seven years, providing skills, support and exam techniques for young people hoping to gain great results.

Pupils who have previously attended have consistently reported greater confidence and improved exam performance, thanks to Dean Close's targeted teaching and expert guidance.

Taking place over the Easter school holidays, from Sunday 29 March to Thursday 2 April 2026, the school's own specialist subject teachers lead the course, with highly experienced external tutors from around the UK joining the team too, alongside specialist EAL support for international learners.

At GCSE level, revision on the core subjects of English, maths and science are all covered, with further subjects including languages, humanities, psychology, classical civilisation, PE, art, politics and business studies.

There's a total of 17 GCSE subjects on offer, with students picking four to cover throughout the five days of study.

When it comes to A-levels, students can choose from 16 subjects, picking two to study intensely over the five-day course.

Subjects at A-level include English literature and language, maths, all sciences, languages, economics, humanities, classical civilisation, PE and art.

Tutors will go over all the relevant topics for each subject, plus students will have the chance to deep dive any areas of concern they might have within a subject.

Alongside the intensive revision sessions, tutors will teach vastly important study skills too, with topics such as how to organise study time; reading comprehension; effective note taking; understanding exam questions; writing good answers; and time management in the exam.

Most exam boards are covered in all subjects, so parents and students can rest assured key topics and areas will be revised, with personalised areas of deeper understanding for specific topics – which you can request when you apply for a place.

Downtime and relaxation is also highly encouraged during the five-day course, with Dean Close School's excellent facilities available for all to use.

There's an indoor swimming pool and a sports hall where students can play football, basketball or badminton, and there's also large, comfortable common rooms for quiet rest and relaxation.

And for students coming from out of county – or even those in-county who wish to cut their commute time and stay on-site – boarding is available and includes breakfast, snacks, lunch, supper and use of the recreational facilities.

Boarders are housed in secure, modern, purpose-built accommodation with individual bedrooms and shared en-suite bathrooms; full-board catering with international menus; 24/7 pastoral care and on-site supervisors.

The cost for the residential Easter course is £1,350 per week; while the non-residential course costs £975 per week, including snacks, lunch, 30 hours of tuition and the use of some of the recreational facilities.

Places are limited and the small class sizes guarantee quality time for every student enrolled; spaces are allocated on a first come, first served basis, so it's advisable to book your place early.
