Global activity franchise Clip 'n Climb opens at Gloucester Quays on Saturday 7 February 2026, with climbing challenges suitable for children aged 4 and above – and soft play for the younger ones.

Offering fun for everyone meaning 'no one has to sit on the side-lines', the wait is finally over – with family activity Clip 'n Climb launching at Gloucester Quays, this February 2026.

The newest location for the global activity franchise – and the first in Gloucestershire – opens at the retail and leisure park on Saturday 7 February 2026, bringing 19 unique climbing challenges for children and adults and a large soft play area to the shopping centre's upper deck.

Described as perfect for kids, families, parties and even corporate events, there's a challenge for all ages and abilities at Clip 'n Climb Gloucester, including a series of climbing walls incorporating fun elements like ladders, moving parts and eye-catching colours and shapes.

Signature Clip 'n Climb attractions include the Stairway to Heaven – a no-hands-required challenge where climbers walk their way to the top of a 'stairway' of pipes; the 'commando-style' Jungle Gym, requiring strong arms to reach the top of a cargo net; Twister, a visually 'stunning' centrepiece made up of stacked, multi-coloured blocks; and a thrilling experience where you're kitted out in a skydive suit and helmet for the extraordinary Vertical Slide.

Designed with families in mind, younger ones can also burn off energy in its large soft play area, the Play Den. Suitable for children under 10, there are multiple levels of fun things to climb including bridges, cargo nets, hanging bags and slides, while under fives have their own dedicated area where they can build up confidence in Toddler Town.

After all that activity, families at Clip 'n Climb Gloucester can also grab a bite to eat in the South Ridge Cafe, serving up a range of homemade pizzas, hot food, snacks and treats.

With all of that on offer, Clip 'n Climb Gloucester is likely to prove an extremely popular destination for birthday parties, with dedicated party areas and packages including everything from briefing and equipment to pizza, garlic bread and unlimited squash.

Outside of its regular sessions, there's exclusive time to climb for 'Mini Mountaineers' aged two to four, SEND and home education sessions; as well as Adults Only evenings; while 'perfect for after-school or after-work adventures', its midweek 'Climb ‘n Dine' sessions combine climbing with a six-inch margherita pizza and soft drink.

Climbing costs £19.99 for adults and children aged four and above, with two attempts on the Vertical Slide available as an add-on for £3 per person online in advance, or £4 if purchased at the centre. Spectators at Clip 'n Climb go free.

For children aged 18 months to 10, the Play Den costs £8.50 per two hour session and £2.50 for children under 18 months – including a supervising adult, who can either watch from the adjoining cafe, or accompany their younger ones in the play area. Additional adults cost £1.50 per person; and children under six months are free.
