Find out who's been crowned top dog in Gloucestershire's Most Adventurous Dog competition.

Encouraging dog owners to get outside and explore the very best of Gloucestershire and beyond, SoGlos and Cotswold RAW have been on a mission to find the county's most adventurous dog — launching an exclusive competition for owners and their canine companions to share their adventures on all four paws.

Fantastic entries have been rolling in from dogs of all shapes and sizes, enjoying everything from Cotswold walkies to doggy paddles, for the chance to fetch the title and win a year's supply of natural chews and treats from Cotswold RAW.

And now, after a period of shortlisting and putting the entries before a panel of dog-loving judges from the SoGlos team, the lucky winner has been chosen...

Gloucestershire's Most Adventurous Dog competition winner

The winning entry comes from @clareyf78, for this heartwarming pic of her intrepid little Westie embracing the spirit of adventure as he cruises down the canal.

Keeping him fuelled for future adventures, this lucky pup wins a year's supply of dried natural treats from Cotswold RAW. Sure to get that tail wagging, he can look forward to chomping on personalised boxes of tasty treats, delivered straight to his door on a regular basis.

A round of appaws, please!

Gloucestershire's Most Adventurous Dog competition runners-up

Over the course of the competition, the #SoGlosDogs hashtag has been bursting with inspiring entries from Gloucestershire's adventurous pups, with so many making the judges' shortlist.

It was a close call and while these dogs may have narrowly missed out on fetching the title, they'll each receive two bags of Pure Strips treats from Cotswold RAW as competition runners-up!

First up is Luka the Bosnian rescue labrador (@luka_bosnianboi). The judges loved his Gloucestershire-themed adventures, from balancing on the Devil's Table at Crickley Hill to browsing the pumpkin patch at Cotswold Farm Park.

Another happy-go-lucky labrador, Yoshi (@yoshitailz), impressed the judges with his swimming skills, cooling off with a dip at Saltdean Lido in Brighton on one of the hottest days of the year.

Here's rescue boy Moose (@windsor_chels) soaking up the stunning views from the top of Cam Peak in Dursley. What a smile!

A gorgeous entry from @nurse.rachael4, showing black labrador Nelson enjoying the dizzy heights of the Lake District and its rolling peaks, made the shortlist too.

Goldendoodle Hudson (@hudsontyrone7) doesn't let the weather get in the way of a good adventure, as shown by this snap of him exploring Brinscall Moor in Lancashire under dramatic skies.

The judges loved seeing Bandit the rottweiler's adventures (@thetravellingbandit) around Loch Lomond in Scotland.

A blustery day by the sea for Ronnie the schnoodle! @clairbighairworksgallery shared a snap from this adventurous pup's very first beach day, braving the weather during Hurricane Ian!

Another beach trip for Jarvis the cocker spaniel (@goodtimeswithdogs), entering the competition with this throwback pic from his trip to Pembrokeshire earlier in the year.

Beautiful Bowie the cocker spaniel (@bowie_big_ears) also shared a throwback, this time to cooler climes — sharing a snowy adventure up Cleeve Hill from last winter.

And finally — the judges loved this snapshot of cocker spaniel Cairo (@hey_im_cairo) getting a head start on his humans to soak up the glorious countryside views on his daily walk.

Gloucestershire's Most Adventurous Dog competition special mention

Rounding off this year's competition with a special shout out to SoGlos's very own four-legged explorers...

Senior staff writer Annabel set out on a doggy adventure for the occasion, taking her Romanian rescue pup Avery and sprightly 10-year-old chihuahua Dexter up the Sugar Loaf Mountain in Abergavenny. Well done, @thenicestdogs!
