Crafted in the Cotswolds and revered by Gordon Ramsay, BLACKLION Vodka captures the essence of the English countryside in every bottle of its unique sheep's milk vodka – Europe's first!
The process is as distinctive as the product itself. Using milk from its own herd of rare Black Lion sheep, the team at BLACKLION – headed up by founders Tim and Tanya Spittle – creates a full-body spirit that's smooth and noticeably different from grain or potato-based alternatives – with every bottle taking at least two years to craft.
Beyond the bottle, BLACKLION opens its doors to the public, offering a chance to explore the full journey from field to glass.
This October half term, families can enjoy a day out with a difference, with twice-daily tours from Saturday to Monday at 11am and 2.30pm inviting guests to meet the rare Black Lion sheep, explore the grounds and see how every bottle begins its journey.
Plus, tastings are included, giving adults the chance to savour the vodka in its purest form, while children are kept busy with the adorable animals.
And looking ahead to the festive season, available to book via direct enquiry, mixology masterclasses appeal to those with a taste for the craft of cocktails. Hosted by the BLACKLION resident master mixologist, Pete Simpson, guests can get hands-on and learn how to make three unique cocktails, as well as a tailored favourite cocktail to replicate at home.
Guests can also pay a visit to The Shepherds Hut, the on-site cafe open Wednesday to Sunday, to get cosy with a coffee, soft drink and freshly baked pastry.
Already making waves internationally, BLACKLION Vodka is available to buy in the US; taking the spirit of the Cotswolds oversees and introducing discerning drinkers to a new benchmark in luxury vodka.
The family-run business has also been featured on BBC One's Gordon Ramsay's Future Food Stars, proving BLACKLION's success in setting a new standard in spirits and experiential tourism.
