Celebrating the start of the Wimbledon championships and the launch of its brand-new summer cocktail menu, The Botanist is giving away thousands of free cocktails for the next two weeks.
The award-winning bar and restaurant – which has a venue at The Brewery Quarter in Cheltenham – is giving away 7,000 free drinks throughout the Wimbledon tournament.
Each day, eagle-eyed visitors need to find one of 10 strawberry plants hidden close to the venue and take it to the bar to net two free Lawnstar Martini cocktails.
The Lawnstar Martini contains Absolut vanilla vodka shaken with strawberry and cucumber, served with a shot of pink prosecco, with The Botanist describing it as 'strawberries and cream in a glass'.
The new cocktail menu features a variety of drinks designed to evoke 'the feeling of taking a stroll through a lush, boozy greenhouse', with other options including the Tomatini Plant Pot with basil-infused vodka, chilli and tomato liqueur, fresh lime and apple juice; the Flower Power 75 with gin, lemon and jasmine liqueurs, lychee and pink prosecco; and the Picante Margarita with tequila, chilli mezcal, jalapeño liqueur, agave and pineapple juice with a mini bottle of Tabasco sauce on the side.
The big Lawnstar Martini giveaway takes place throughout the Wimbledon championships from Monday 30 June until Sunday 13 July 2025.
Free drinks may only be redeemed by those aged 18 and over.
