Forget boozy cocktails and late-night drinking at crowded nightclubs, the latest craze for coffee shop raves descends on Gloucestershire — with a newly rebranded Bishop's Cleeve venue leading the way in the county.
Taking place at Church Road Coffee, visitors can get their groove on at the independent coffee shop which was taken over by new owners late last year and freshly rebranded.
On Sunday 8 June 2025, from 2pm — coinciding with the annual Bishop's Cleeve Street Fair — grab a coffee, meet around the DJ deck and enjoy a refreshing way to connect with new people or current friends.
Opening on the Sunday specially for the occasion, Church Road Coffee is thought to be the first setting in Gloucestershire for the coffee shop rave, a trend which has been sweeping the likes of London, New York and Dubai in recent months.
With nightlife culture on a decline, this new trend blends partying with wellness and local DJ Tom Godden, who formerly had a residency in Ibiza, will be taking to the decks to play a mix of classic and modern house music.
With free entry and everyone welcome to join, expect good music, vibes, community spirit and of course, great coffee, with the venue using Cirencester's Fire & Flow speciality roasted coffee beans.
