The cosiest months of the year have arrived and as the leaves continue to change, so do Cheltenham's shop fronts, with its newest addition being The Coffee Cauldron — opening doors this October 2025.

Located at the tip of the town centre on the Rotunda in Montpellier, expect all your coffee shop favourites, with a side of enchanting purple witchery.

Ideally positioned for sunny late afternoon sipping or a warming solo date with a book, The Coffee Cauldron's location opposite Montpellier Park features both indoor and outdoor seating areas – and pooches can join too, as the coffee hub is dog-friendly.

Brewing up speciality coffee from its standout La Marzocco espresso machine, The Coffee Cauldron is priding itself on being versatile enough in its offering to satisfy both the 'Freds' and 'Bobs' of the world – the two characters created to represent the two different types of coffee lovers.

Some of its customers may be a Frank, a speciality coffee enthusiast with their own brews at home; while some may be a Bob, a syrup and latte art fanatic.

Both personalities are covered within The Coffee Cauldron's menu, which features everything from bold americanos to trendy iced matcha lattes, with the aim to 'bridge the gap' and make its coffee shop experience as 'inclusive' and 'accessible' as possible.

And aside from coffee fans getting their favourite cup of comfort or sweet treat, they can show their Coffee Cauldron love by grabbing some merchandise, designed by the shop's assistant manager, Olha Balahanska – who also built every piece of furniture in the shop, too!

The Coffee Cauldron is the first business venture from 25-year-old Julia Bogusz from Gloucester, who decided to take the leap into business ownership after working in Gloucestershire's cafe scene from the age of 17.

Upon completing her undergraduate in psychology and then a masters in sports psychology, Julia decided that office life wouldn't be for her. She said: 'I love being on my feet, I love the changing environment, I love people and I love that you can make someone’s day just by being kind to them when checking them out at the till.

'After my masters, I was looking for what people would call 'a big girl job' and nothing really gave me that passion.

'I started dreaming up the idea with my partner but then it all became more real when I found some great funding and I thought, well if I’m going to do it why not do it now.

'I was also feeling like a lot of speciality coffee shops were falling into the same vibe, which is a lovely one, but I wanted something cosy, something inclusive, something for everyone!'

The Coffee Cauldron is open now on the Rotunda in Cheltenham, Monday to Friday from 8am until 5pm; Saturday from 9am until 6pm; and Sunday from 10am until 4pm.
