Aiming to bring the 'rich and diverse' flavours of South Asia to Cheltenham, Tuk Tuk Express offers casual dining, takeaway and lunch options.

A new restaurant serving up South Asian street food from small bites and curries to tandoori chicken opens in Cheltenham this spring 2025.

Restaurant and takeaway Tuk Tuk Express — on Grosvenor Street, just off the corner of High Street and Bath Road — is now open, bringing 'fast, flavourful' dishes that give authentic recipes 'a modern twist' to the centre of town.

Offering a unique 'fast-casual' dining experience, its menu is described as a 'bold celebration of spice, tradition and creativity', with dishes ranging from hearty south Indian lamb fry and flaky fish pakoras, to spicy Za’al Dem rolls and creamy mango raita.

Familiar British Indian dishes like korma and tikka masala can be found on the menu, too, along with vegetarian and vegan options including curries, dhals and samosas.

The restaurant is intentionally 'dry', serving no alcohol, but a selection of non alcoholic beers, wines and virgin spirits along with freshly made mocktails are available for diners to sip on.

It has options for eat-in, pick-up or delivery and also provides office catering and group lunches, with plans to roll out seasonal specials and local collaborations in the coming months.

Its head chef explained: 'We created Tuk Tuk Express to share with people the food we grew up loving — bold, affordable and full of flavour.

'Street food is all about soul and connection and we’re excited to share that with Cheltenham.'

The restaurant is currently running offers to celebrate its opening, details of which can be found through its social media channels.
