The Cross Hands in Bristol is becoming the All Inn this May 2023, as Dodo Pub Co takes over.

The company behind the popular Cheltenham pub, The Bottle of Sauce, is opening a new venue in Bristol.

Dodo Pub Co is taking over The Cross Hands in Fishponds, on the outskirts of Bristol, transforming it into the All Inn.

The company currently has six venues, with one in Gloucestershire, four in Oxfordshire and one in Reading - with the Bristol venue being the city's first.

Co-founder, Leo Johnson, said: 'We’ve been wanting to find the right place for a Dodo pub in Bristol for several years now. Two of us lived there for a while and we all love its vibrancy and the feeling of inclusion that seems to permeate the city.

'It’s got a great mix of pubs, bars and restaurants, and we firmly believe that our neighbourhood vibe will fit right in.'

The news comes after Dodo Pub Co announced it was introducing a new grassroots arts and music stage at The Bottle of Sauce, where it will host regular live music, spoken word and comedy nights.

The new 'canteen stage' launches on Friday 24 March 2023 with a showcase from University of Gloucestershire students, as well as a secret surprise act and a DJ set curated by Sunken Foal; while the All Inn in Fishponds is set to open in May 2023.
