From elevated brunch dishes to 'next level' burgers, Roots + Seeds brings sustainable, 'field to fork' dining to Far Peak this March 2026.

A new restaurant from the multi-award-winning Roots + Seeds team is opening in the Cotswolds this March 2026.

Sustainable dining hub, Roots + Seeds Cafe & Kitchen, is coming to Far Peak in Northleach, where it will welcome diners and their dogs for coffee, breakfast, brunch, lunch and afternoon tea to eat in or take away.

Housed within a large, airy former barn with high ceilings, skylights and floor-to-ceiling windows, the restaurant will offer dining tables, cosy sofas and an indoor children's play area, all complimented by Roots + Seeds contemporary nature-inspired decor, with birch cladding, photographic prints of the kitchen garden, houseplants hanging from the ceiling and vintage cockerel cages repurposed as pendant lights.

There'll also be a covered terrace overlooking renovated farm buildings for an alfresco dining option.

Its brasserie-style menu is set to feature modern British dishes with a European influence, all made from seasonal Cotswolds produce, much of which is grown in Roots + Seeds own kitchen garden, alongside locally reared beef, lamb, pork and poultry from Jesse Smith Family Butchers; game from The Bathurst Estate; and fresh fish from Brixham in Devon.

Diners can expect everything from elevated breakfast dishes like porridge, rhubarb and orange compote and Cacklebean eggs Hollandaise; soups, sandwiches and salads; to more substantial plates including 'next level' burgers, curries and fish and chips, as well as a great value childrens' menu of 'perennial favourites'.

The dining hub will also feature daily changing 'field to fork' specials, inspired by the season and created using the day's best produce.

And, for the first time ever, alongside its famous seasonal cocktails made using Roots + Seeds own London dry gin and homemade shrubs, cordials and mixers made with foraged ingredients, the Far Peak dining hub will have a taproom experience featuring the range of beers and ciders from Jeremy Clarkson's Hawkstone Brewery on tap – as well as a selection of English wines.

Roots + Seeds co-founders Sam Lawson-King and Toby Baggott are the brains behind The Scenic Supper – the socially distanced dining experience in individual greenhouses in the Cotswold countryside that became a runaway success during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Following the huge popularity of The Scenic Supper, the pair opened their first permanent dining hub, Roots + Seeds Kitchen Garden, at The Old Kennels in Cirencester in 2023 and have since expanded with Roots + Seeds Cafe & Kitchen at Gloucester Food Dock in 2025, with the new Northleach Cafe & Kitchen being their third.

Roots + Seeds also has a sister restaurant, Cattivo Pizza, opposite its Cirencester dining hub.

Toby said: 'We are just so excited to be opening our third dining hub. Far Peak is a beautiful, rural site with high quality adventure and wellness activities alongside exceptional glamping and camping facilities.

'It’s the perfect next move for us and we very much look forward to warmly welcoming regulars and visitors here.'

Roots + Seeds Cafe & Kitchen at Far Peak officially opens on Friday 27 March 2026 and is open 8am to 4pm Sunday to Thursday; 8am to 8pm Friday and Saturday.
