Gloucester Quays has announced that Starbucks is opening a new coffee shop and Drive Thru at the centre this July 2025.
The popular coffee chain is due to open a 1,840 sq ft space at the retail park with space for 64 covers, featuring indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a Drive Thru.
Sure to be a popular addition to the waterside shopping and leisure destination, the new Starbucks will offer the full range of drinks, from classic coffees to Frappuccinos and iced tea, as well as a varied food menu.
To celebrate the launch, customers visiting the Drive Thru between 10am and 4pm on Thursday 24 July 2025 will receive a free drink – and the store will be donating part of its first official day's takings to local children's charity, the Pied Piper Appeal, with in-store fundraising throughout the day on Friday 25 July 2025.
Brude Edmondson, director of retail parks and developments at Peel Retail & Leisure, which owns Gloucester Quays, said: 'Starbucks brings a firm-favourite coffee to our Gloucester estate, offering added convenience for visitors to the likes of The Padel Club at the retail park and indeed the outlet next door.
'We see them playing an important role as part of a well-rounded, diverse ecosystem of brands in this part of the city, just as valued by people who live or work nearby as those who visit the city for a specific shopping or full day out purpose.'
Erika Apinyte, general manager of The Magic Bean Company, a franchisee of Starbucks, added: 'We’re looking forward to opening our new Drive Thru store at Gloucester Quays retail park on Friday 25 July 2025 and bringing the Starbucks experience to even more people in the Gloucester area. This location offers us a fantastic opportunity to connect with a broad and diverse customer base in a prime setting.'
