Two chefs who transformed The Halfway at Kineton into one of the hottest foodie destinations in the Cotswolds have turned their attention to taking over another pub — The Hollow Bottom.

Long ago leased by Julian Dunkerton's The Lucky Onion Group, The Hollow Bottom in Guiting Power, was subsequently taken over by Youngs Pubs.

Its current tenancy finishes in September 2025 and the owner — Innkeeping Ltd — announced it was seeking enthusiastic new tenants in March 2025.

This week, respected chefs Nathan Eades and Liam Goff announced they will be breathing fresh life into the historic pub to bring it into the future.

They say they hope to return it to the epicentre of Guiting Power and National Hunt Racing.

The duo brings expertise from working at Michelin-starred kitchens, 3 AA rosette-rated restaurants and a gastropub mentioned in the top 50 Estrella gastropub awards. They also run The Horse and Groom in Bourton on the Hill.

In a post on Instagram, the pair said: 'The rumours (another badly kept secret!) are true, we are incredibly excited to be taking on one of our favourite pubs in the Cotswolds, The Hollow Bottom.

'This pub means so much to lots of people and, at its peak, was at the heart of both the local and horse racing community.

'It has lost its way a little in recent years, and we are thrilled, and honoured, to have been trusted in bringing it back to its best.

'In the next couple of weeks, we will be taking you through the process (warts and all) of what it takes to get a pub open again!

'We honestly can’t wait to welcome you all. See you all very soon.'
