David Lloyd Leisure has officially confirmed its new Gloucestershire club will be opening in Bishop's Cleeve in Autumn 2026.
Announcing on its brand-new Instagram profile for the latest club, David Lloyd has confirmed that it will be ready to open its doors during September or October 2026, with residents invited to register their interest in becoming a member and find out about its 'early joining offers'.
The new club is promising 'a clubroom with a dedicated business lounge, state-of-the-art gym, the David Lloyd Clubs’ Signature Classes Collection, stunning Spa Retreat and Spa Garden, premium tennis and padel courts' and more.
The centrepiece of the club will be the 100-plus station gym together with bespoke group exercise studios that will host more than 100 classes each week.
The luxury health club has also confirmed it will have heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools and a dedicated kids' activities programme, with an indoor and outdoor play area.
The new spa will include a variety of experiences and rooms, including a Himalayan salt sauna, 'Fire and Ice' room, rainforest experience shower, citrus steam room, plunge pool and a swim in/out hydrotherapy pool.
The Spa Garden will have a plunge pool, hydrotherapy pool, loungers and a sauna.
The business lounge will be offering food, while tennis and swimming lessons will be available to children aged from three months to 12 years, alongside a creche, after-school and holiday clubs.
Plans for the club were approved in July 2025, with preparations to the site on Stoke Road in Bishop's Cleeve starting straight away and construction in full swing now.
The new club will also support the local economy by generating approximately 80 to 100 jobs in a range of roles – from sport and wellbeing to catering and hospitality.
The new club will be the second site to open in Gloucestershire, with the first located in Gloucester at Gloucester Business Park.
