Tennis fans are in for a treat at these two Cotswolds staycation destinations.

Two Cotswold hotels have made it on to a list of the best hotels and holiday destinations with tennis courts in the UK.

Lower Mill Estate and Temple Guiting Manor were handpicked by The PC Agency for their fantastic tennis facilities, ideal for anyone who's been inspired to practice their serve this summer.

It highlighted Lower Mill Estate's gorgeous lakeside location in the heart of Cotswold Water Park, ideal for families and groups, as well as its free tennis courts which guests can book on arrival; and its popular on-site restaurant, Ballihoo, which offers field to fork dining using seasonal ingredients — and even has a fine dining menu for dogs!

Lower Mill Estate offers a variety of holiday homes, from quaint dog-friendly cottages to modern lakeside properties with hot tubs, so there's plenty to enjoy when you're not on the court.

The PC Agency also recommended the 15th century Temple Guiting Manor house, which is available to rent as a holiday home for up to 12 guests. The historic Tudor house boasts an all-weather AstroTurf tennis court, children's adventure playground, outdoor hot tub and a private lake, as well as table tennis, table football and a secret cinema.

The property owners also have a shop and cafe in the village, just two minutes' walk away, where guests can enjoy delicious meals and shop for homewares, gifts and wine.

The two hotels were the only Gloucestershire destinations to make the list, joined by Glenapp Castle in Ayrshire; Hartwell House and Spa in Buckinghamshire; The Nare Hotel in Cornwall; Lower Mill Estate's sister venue Silverlake in Dorset; Lucknam Park Hotel and Spa in Wiltshire; and Andy Murray's Victorian Manor, Cromlix in Perthshire.

As well as tennis facilities for holidaymakers, locals who are itching to get on the court can try out Cheltenham's East Glos Club, which offers expert coaching and first-class facilities for tennis, squash, racketball and padel, with annual membership options to see you through the year after Wimbledon has wrapped up for the season.
