The annual Frocester Beer Festival has earned itself a coveted reputation with real ale drinkers from across the south west, and the 2011 spectacular is once again expected to sell out quick.

Run by Dursley Lions Club in conjunction with Frocester Cricket Club, the all-ticket event takes place every August bank holiday – with 2011 being the 32st event of its kind.

The two-day event will include a heady mix of more than 100 cask-conditioned real ales from more than 50 breweries around the UK, a large selection of wines along with cider and perry, a host of live music, hot food and free camping.

If you’re lucky enough to nab a ticket you’ll not only be able to experience a beer festival at its very best, but you’ll also be helping to raise funds for worthwhile causes too.

Dursley Lions Club raises in excess of £40,000 per year for charities and other worthy causes locally, nationally and internationally. It has has supported local playgroups, counselling services, trusts and also funded schools in third world countries.

Postal applications for Frocester Beer Festival tickets usually take place mid-June each year, available from Frocester Beer Festival, 65 Garden Suburb, Dursley, GL11 4EN.
