The Beefy Boys: From Backyard BBQ to World-Class Burgers is the first recipe book by the cult burger brand, which has restaurants in Hereford, Shrewsbury and Cheltenham.

Fans of The Beefy Boys' award-winning burgers can finally discover the secrets of how to make them, as the cult brand is releasing its first ever recipe book.

Available from Thursday 15 August 2024, The Beefy Boys: From Backyard BBQ to World-Class Burgers spills the secrets of some of its most popular recipes, teaching burger aficionados how to make its signature barbecue food in the comfort of their own homes.

The book highlights everything from the art of steaming buns to the science of different patty styles, along with how to use condiments to create a unique flavour, offering foodies a step-by-step guide to mastering the perfect burger. 

Readers can learn classic Beefy Boys recipes such as the original Beefy Boy Burger; the Oklahoma Onion Boy; the Peanut Butter and Jelly Boy; the Nashville Hot Chicken Burger; the Buffalo Chicken Burger; as well as veggie favourites like the Beanie Boy and the Leafy Boy.

Sure to have fans rushing to the kitchen, the cookbook also features popular sides such as Pastrami Fries, Jalapeño Poppers and Millionaire Fries, plus some unexpected twists like the Pizza Boy, Sunday Roast British Boy and The Christmas Boy — all accompanied by glossy images and The Beefy Boys trademark illustrations.

Founded by four childhood friends — Anthony 'Murf' Murphy, Daniel Mayo-Evans, Christian Williams and Lee Symonds — The Beefy Boys now has three restaurants in Hereford, Shrewsbury and Cheltenham and has built up an army of fans, not to mention a stack of awards including best burger and best burger chef in the National Burger Awards 2023.

Murf has also appeared on the BBC’s Saturday Kitchen; while the lead-up to the opening of the Cheltenham restaurant was featured on The Hidden World of Hospitality with Tom Kerridge.

The Beefy Boys: From Backyard BBQ to World-Class Burgers is available from Thursday 15 August 2024 with a recommended retail price of £20.
