Lydney Jingle Fest and Christmas lights switch on
Families across the Forest of Dean can see the Lydney Christmas lights being switched on at the very first Jingle Fest on Saturday 4 December 2010.
Held at both Lydney’s Newerne Street and Taurus Crafts (and linked by free bus), Santa will be kicking off the event with a festive procession of floats at 1.45pm in Hams Road, before he heads to his grotto.
There will be town centre entertainment including live music from 2pm, fairground rides, a bouncy castle and a treasure hunt, as well as a hog roast.
While Taurus Crafts will host a Christmas craft market including Christmas trees from Lydney Park Estate, as well as sausages, mulled wine and mince pies.
