Meet the ghosts of Christmas past at this year’s lights switch on event in Cheltenham town centre. Starting at The Brewery Quarter, Cambray Place, and Montpellier, follow the ghosts as they tell their stories from the Charles Dickens classic. Gathering near The Queen’s Hotel, count down to the big switch-on with Santa Claus before admiring the illuminations across the town. New for 2019, the Christmas lights will also span across Winchcombe Street.

Meet two ice princesses and their snowman friend at the Christmas lights switch-on at The Brewery Quarter this year. Celebrating the release of Frozen 2 in cinemas, there will also be a range of musicians, choirs, dancers, and the cast of Cheltenham Everyman’s pantomime, Cinderella.

Crier and samba bands. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, this annual celebration marks the start of the festivities, this year carrying the theme of Pinocchio. After the procession, join Gloucester residents in the cathedral for the carol singing service.
