The new spa space has been designed to be a haven of tranquillity, to digitally detox, unwind and relax.

With the popularity of mindfulness and self-care on the rise, and hot on the heels of the launch of its new £5 million fitness club, Calcot & Spa near Tetbury has invested in a revamp of its spa.

By moving the gym and studio out of the spa and into The Grain Store fitness club, fresh spa space has been created for the makeover.

Where once fitness fans sweated it out, there's now a serene spa cafe, spa lounge, relaxation room and treatment space, along with new spa partner Comfort Zone offering a fresh range of treatments.

The new spa lounge overlooks the alfresco fireside hot tub and courtyard, while the cosy relaxation room is tucked away in a newly renovated room; perfect for shutting out the world and snuggling up with a book and a blanket.

Linking up with The Grain Store, cutting edge stretching treatments by Proverb have been introduced to the spa to boost flexibility and recovery in post gym and sports sessions.

The new spa offerings include personalised mindful retreats in the spa lounge and deep-relax pre and post treatment areas, allowing access to a space dedicated exclusively to mindfulness and optimising wellbeing goals.

The thinking behind the spa revamp is to give guests the chance to detach from the fast-paced outside world so they can indulge in deep rest and relaxation.

Spa director of Calcot Collection, Francesca Rowland, said: 'It’s fantastic to see that well-being is no longer considered a luxury, but instead a necessity for everyday life.

'By maintaining a lifestyle which is all about balance we can pro-actively live healthier lives and enhance our overall well-being. Our newly enhanced facilities will focus on this and create an environment to de-stress and re-charge.'

Treatments include massages, facials, reiki and reflexology, designed to enhance physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. Designed to support stress-relief and quality of sleep; spa therapists are trained to give treatments intuitively so clients get a personalised treatment.

A new healthy drink and snack menu, gives the chance to refuel with a nutritious lunch overlooking the outdoor fireside hot tub.

There'll also be an upcoming series of wellbeing-themed talks covering a range of topics from fitness and relaxation to mindfulness, nutrition, digital detoxes and stress-relief.

Spa memberships are available to local guests and The Grain Store members.
