Gloucestershire is getting a brand-new folk music festival this September 2026, as Days In The Sun comes to the Forest of Dean for the first time.
The three-day festival takes place on Newbliss Farm in Rudford, near Newent, from Friday 18 until Sunday 20 September 2026.
The lineup features some of the biggest names in folk music from across the country, including Skipinnish, Roving Crows, The Dolmen, Mobius Loop and Rusty Shackle, as well as reggae outfit Dub Catalyst, award-winning blues guitarist and vocalist Trevor Babajack Steger, and popular pirate-themed shanty band, Reivers' Gallows.
Jointly organised by Caitlin Barrett and Paul Chief O'Neill, they describe the festival as 'a safe haven for artists of all ages to express themself, show their talents and sell their creations.'
With a small capacity of only 500 guests, the festival promises an intimate vibe for music fans and is both family and dog-friendly – plus it's well-prepared for rainy weather, too.
Tickets cost from £40 each for adults and from £15 for children, with free entry for under fives. There is also weekend camping available for £10 per tent, too.
