A third-generation farmer, Clarkson's Farm star Harriet Cowan has written her first book, which she will launch at an event in Cheltenham.

Thrust into the spotlight when she appeared on TV as Jeremy Clarkson’s farmhand on Clarkson’s Farm, Harriet Cowan is launching her first book with a special event in Cheltenham.

The 25-year-old – who is now one of the UK’s most recognisable farmers – will launch her new book Life On The Farm at Dunkertons Park in Cheltenham on Thursday 5 November 2026.

She comes from generations of farmers and was raised in a rural way of life handed down from her parents and grandparents.

Harriet was brought on board at Diddly Squat Farm near Chipping Norton in the Cotswolds as a farmhand to help Jeremy Clarkson while his regular farm manager Kaleb Cooper was away on a nationwide tour.

At the time, Harriet was balancing life as an NHS community nurse with working on her family's farm.

Her in-depth farming knowledge, quick wit, no-nonsense approach and honesty about what farming actually involves – as well as her ability to stand her ground alongside Jeremy Clarkson – endeared her to audiences of the hit Prime Video TV show.

Since appearing on Clarkson's Farm, Harriet has taken the decision to leave nursing and concentrate on farming full-time.

She achieved her lifelong dream in August 2026 by buying a farm of her own, a 100-acre holding in the Derbyshire countryside.

In her book, Harriet gives insights into a typical day on the farm, the values she lives by, the challenges facing Britain’s farmers today and why buying local matters.

At her book launch event at Dunkertons Park in Cheltenham on Thursday 5 November 2026, starting at 7pm, Harriet will take to the stage to talk about farming, country life and the stories behind the book, followed by an audience Q&A.

Waterstones will be selling copies of her new book on the night, and Harriet will be signing books after her talk.

For tickets, which cost £12 each and include a welcome drink, visit the Dunkertons Park website.
