1. FameLab UK Final at Cheltenham Science Festival 2019


Mind-boggling research and sensational science showdowns will form the FameLab UK Final free event on Monday 3 June 2019. Each finalist will present, live on stage, their experiment in the most entertaining way to try and secure a place in the coveted international semi-finals.

2. A Very Short Introduction to… Black Holes at Cheltenham Science Festival 2019


Unveiling the science behind something that has puzzled experts for years, A Very Short Introduction to…Black Holes will intrigue minds on Wednesday 5 June 2019. Discover what happens if you get too close to a black hole and what they actually are.

3. Stargazing in the gardens at Cheltenham Science Festival 2019


Take in the skies with Stargazing In The Gardens alongside Cotswold Astronomical Society in Imperial Gardens on Thursday 6 and Friday 7 June 2019. Look out for Saturn and Jupiter as the society let you use their telescopes – and keep your fingers crossed it’s a clear night.

Described as fascinating and intriguing, the team at Hartpury College will be back at Cheltenham Science Festival between 10am and 4pm on Sunday 9 June 2019 to dissect another exotic animal. Previous years have seen the dissection of a wallaby and a horse.

9. Mental Health Mates: Walk & Talk at Cheltenham Science Festival 2019


Everyone is invited to this special walk designed to allow people to talk about their mental health experiences. Focussing on mental health issues, participants do not need to be diagnosed with a mental health issue to take part, anyone can simply turn up and join in.
